I always forget that book is only 6 years old. I feel like I've been living with those stories forever, and that they've always been a part of my readerly DNA. It's a favorite collection of a lot of friends of mine, and I was glad to see Blake include it on his list.

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you liked the bio. Hard as I try, I can't tire of their music. It resists all attempts to render it inert. If you haven't yet done so, be sure to check out Handsome Furs and Sunset Rubdown as well for many more disappointment-free hours of listening.

Dude,im not sure who you are, but I had to comment on what a great piece you wrote for Wolf Parade on Sub Pop Records....I know its an old review, but I just got into the band. You really have a great feel for what music is about, so much deeper than what the majority of casual listeners derive from music. Anyways, I wish I had such a talent.

I spent about three years trying unsuccessfully to finish a novel that I've since trashed. Two of the stories in the collection were resurrected from the ashes of that failed effort. I have some ideas for novels but until I win a McDonald's Supreme Value Meal Writing Fellowship I don't think I can support the sort of sustained focus that a novel demands.

Hey, thank you for the info.

Please hurry up with that last story (kidding!)

I am not sure if you will answer this next question publicly, but what are the chances that you have a novel in the pipeline?
